Photos from Make a Difference Day (MaDD)

Sewing pillow cases was our project for the 10/2011 MaDD.  Hudson River Housing and other local family shelters were the recipients.  Particularly with many local homes flooded during the Irene and Lee storms in September, we knew our efforts could be a small help for families in our area.  The photos above were taken at the open sewing.  The Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall once again offered an open store front for our set up and Poughkeepsie Sew and Vac (located in the mall) provided us with tables and support.  Most participants were ASG members, but as in the past, we invite members of the public, with or without sewing experience to assist in this effort.
